GFP firefighters have fought fires in every Western State and many Eastern States, from the Oregon Coast Range to Glacier National Park in Montana, Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming to the Los Padres National Forest near Ojai California, to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Kentucky. Our personnel have been dispatched to fires as early as February and as late as December. We have performed work on small initial attack fires to large complex fire over 500 thousand acres.
In addition to providing twenty-person hand crews and wildland fire engines, GFP specializes in base camp solutions and emergency management.
GFP sets a high standard for a Type 2 IA crew. They have raised the bar for all fire contract crews with a crew that needs limited supervision and performs outstanding work.
